Keynote Presentation: Rethinking Wireless
|
Join us for an enlightening discussion by Dr. Douglas C. Sicker (University of Colorado, Denver) on the future of the electromagnetic spectrum operational environment! As wireless systems evolve to become more software-controlled, reconfigurable, and adaptive, our reliance on these technologies grows. This talk will explore the increasing complexity and opportunities presented by these advancements, highlighting their impact on critical infrastructure and the challenges they pose. We’ll examine the technical and policy evolution, and the open research challenges, particularly in antenna and RF front-end design. Don’t miss this chance to gain insights into the future of wireless systems and their transformative potential.

Short Course
There have been significant research advancements and material explorations over the past decade in the area of non-simple media. Simple media is typically assumed to be linear, spatially homogeneous, spatially local, time invariant, time non-local (i.e., temporally dispersive), and reciprocal. It is not uncommon nowadays to see researchers getting outside the box of simple media and investigating nonlinear materials, non-isotropic materials, time varying materials and new corresponding applications including meta materials and meta surfaces. This year’s short course provides an introduction into this exciting new area in antenna and related measurement technologies.
Attendance at the Short Course is limited

AMTA Boot Camp
The AMTA Boot Camp is a 1-day course on antenna and related measurement fundamentals. Live hands-on demonstrations complement the material presented. The Boot Camp is an ideal training opportunity for those new to the antenna and related measurements community and for those who would appreciate an update or “refresher” course on these topics. Instructors are academic and industry experts who were selected based not only on their expertise, but for their ability to communicate effectively.
