The Flying W Ranch
On Monday we travel back in time to the Flying W ranch in Colorado Springs. We’ll walk the authentic Western town, enjoy treats at an original soda shop, belly up to a 100 year-old bar and wander through the shops. The blacksmith will be at work demonstrating how to “change the tires” on the old west’s original hybrid transportation. Our delicious dinner will be prepared Colorado “chuck wagon” style. Musical entertainment will be provided by the world famous Flying W Wranglers. This is Colorado at its best. \

Word is that Snidely Sidelobe may be “holed up” at the Flying W. Mr. AMTA is looking for some deputies to help save Penelope. Come and be part of the posse!

Pike’s Peak Cog Railway
This year’s technical tour includes a ride on the Pike’s Peak Cog Railway to the top of Pike’s Peak (over 14,000 feet elevation) and a tour of the shop, where the equipment is run and maintained. On a clear day it is possible to see over 100 miles to the eastern plains of Colorado.

The view from the top of Pike’s Peak inspired Katharine Lee Bates to write “America the Beautiful.”
